Rotimi Adeniyi ADEBAYO was born in Ila-Orangun in Ila Local Government, Osun State. He attended Baptist High School, Iree and later attended Oyo(Osun) State College Of Education, Ila-Orangun for his NCE programme between 1983 and 1987. He proceeded to the University of Ilorin and graduated in 1991 with B.A(Ed.)English Second Class Hons( Upper Division).
He had his National Youth Service (NYSC) at Army Day Secondary School, Bukavu Barracks, Kano between 1991 and1992. He has previously worked with CT and Associates, Lagos before joining the services of Macmillan Nigeria Publishers Limited. He proceeded for his Masters in 2004 at ObafemiAwolowo University, Ile-Ife and had his Masters in Public Administration (MPA) in 2006.
Adebayo was appointed and assumed duty as Administrative Officer in Osun State University, Osogbo on 22nd October, 2007 as one of the Pioneer Staff. He had at various times worked as Faculty Officers in the College of Management and Social Sciences, College of Human Resource Development and Lifelong learning, College of Science, Engineering and Technology before he was deployed as the Admissions Officer of the University in 2013. The position he held till 2022. He rose through the ranks and was promoted to the position of Deputy Registrar in 2021. He is presently the Deputy Registrar/Secretary, Postgraduate, College.
He has attended many International and Local Conferences from 2008 to date.
He is a member of Association of University Administrators, United Kingdom(AUA), and Member, Association of Nigerian University Professional Administrators (ANUPA).
Mr Adebayo is a member of Osun State University Governing Council representing the Congregation. His hobbies includes reading, writing, travelling and watching football.
He is married to MrsAdeolaOluwafunmilade Adebayo and blessed with children.
